You will need this (or similar) to use the Porter Cable guide bushings (like the ones that come with the PC model dovetail), as the hole in the slab is larger than the Bosch router PC. Note that the Bosch PR010 Round Sub Base Threaded Temp Guides for Bosch Colt Palm Router for does not work on routers, Bosch full size 1617 size, the screws are not aligned. I bought two items at my local Rockler after the clerk said that the PR010 is what I needed. But after receiving the product of misinformation Rockler several times in the past, I decided to get both and see what shape it, glad I did. Woodcraft also sells a clear base plate with centering pin of the router to do the same with PC and bushing style guide is also drilled for Bosch 1615, 1617/1618 series and many other router I also have a base nearby, and Woodcraft pick one up in the morning, when I as a clear basis of the router. It is light and very strong, hinge mortising, edge rounding triming and is a breeze. I also purchased the round sub-base so that it can be used with my Porter-Cable template guide in and it works quite well. Why is it only three stars? As mentioned in other reviews, is the "shoulder lock" and not have to be repeated. It was the most frustrating thing I've tried with success is a particular installation no problem, but removing it was a little different story. The button will simply not shut tight enough and slim! After the sore thumbs and bruised knuckles, I looked in the manual (page 7) suggests using a "thin" 10 mm wrench key as an alternative to locking the shaft. In frustration, he set a key to my 10 mm key was cheap, the ground a bit thinner, so it would fit into the plans as now I can easily install or remove pieces using two keys. For example, the drill bit and actually 90 degrees when mounted at the base, but if you do not turn the engine at the end position after setting the height and finally, it will be out for approx. 1 degree. As with many tools of today, the manufacturing flexibility factors have a reason to use instructions. Left of simple procedures in motion that often leads to poor results attributed to the tool. I have a large bank mounted router, but this tool is being used more frequently than the more potent cousin. It's so easy for roadsides, especailly the round more or use the short cut flush with the router. Place the box or any other item you want in a track and do the job and just cut. The Colt is very easy to control. Make Mortesa hinge is very easy because the router does not grab or try to move off the track. You can use the edge guide to help you make the Mortesa line. All courts so far have been in the red oak and oak vineer. It works well in both. The pieces are easy to change, and the depth is easy to put a thought tool and worth the price. It was the first router table I've ever used, and found this model fully to the expectations. Let's face it, router tables can be expensive, and it's not too much. As a relatively new joiner at the time, knew exactly what kind of projects that would be doing the most, so the best is that this table is very easy to use and has many features - things that I do not see that much 'd need the time. You can easily adjust the fence, or take it off. There is a suggestion of a miter gauge and comes with plates of feathers that can be easily adjusted and moved from the horizontal or vertical track. Also good is that it has strips of plastic that fits on one side of the guide to make any connection, although with a few fixed width. I also have a Ridgid jointer, but I always use this set on the router table to straighten the edges of flat panels that would be more difficult to keep flat against the closure of a jointer It folds easily, quickly release the router is nice, and rooms in the legs are at hand. Another interesting aspect is that the panels are removable and made of MDF closure. I chipped one time (hey it happens!) It's easy to make a new one. Minor difficulties with this table are not marked as mostly due to my situation, but it could be interesting: a) I use a router and manages Artisan hit the quick release lever, it is almost impossible to get the router . It is not impossible to get, but you have to look under the table to do so. It is easy to install, but difficult for the center. I do not have a centering cone so I had to use a round 3.8 "to just happens to exactly fit the opening. Despite the short, I wanted to crawl in the base when the first bolt is partially set. It's now become one of myfavorites. It's light in weight, partly due to the magnesium base. The 2-1/4-horsepower motor has a soft start and is variable speed, rangingfrom 8,000 to 25,000 rpm. Two things made me truly love this router:it's easy to change the depth of cut and the guide bushings. To change depth, release the clamp that holds the base to the motor and dial themicroadjust. If you want to make big adjustments, a quick release lets you advance the router in bigger increments. The quick release also made it easy to remove the motor from the base to change bits. This is one of the all-around best routers I've put in a router table. Aspring-loaded clip holds guide bushings (an optional accessory) inplace. To change or remove them, simply slide the retainer out of the way and out pops the bushing. I had no trouble with guide bushings staying in place under a load.

I use a router table, where it is comfortable: it's easy enough to handle when it is installed under the table, the controls are easy to reach and height adjustment is fabulous. For more information on adjusting the height of this router - I have used many other routers, but no height adjustment as smooth as this precisey and Bosch. All you have to do is unlock the controller, turn on a tower, and a little up and down slowly for you. So you can lock your controller and you're done. The soft-start is wonderful. The speed is very responsive and has many settings, which is good if you make raised panel doors. As far as cutting goes, I'm very happy. The router keeps the speed constant through the forest, whether you are a Dado cutting or routing form on the edge of a plate again, I have nothing but praise for another Bosch Power Tools. 28 of 29 people found this review helpful. Best Fixed-Base Router Richard Tabbutt I do a lot of routing, and I have had many routers over the years. 1617EVS forest is by far the best fixed base router I ever owned. The design with the exceptional quality of production will meet or exceed all expectations. Its variable speed, lightweight, comfortable handles, large bit capacity, and power is just the beginning. The main result is the height control. This is by far the best in the industry, but competition that I've found. You really have to try it and see for yourself - rings and racks are in competition not only not comparable, they are not even in the same class. I use this on my way and I lift the handle D (variable) for the job by hand. Some people think that you should buy the bits only when needed, and to get the best quality of each piece. That it costs about $ 25 per piece, and not only meaningful if more than two pieces you know you need. So I bought this set recently and am very happy with it. A word of caution: 1) The first time you pull these pieces of their plastic bags, use a cloth. They are there a little bit difficult because of the corrosive goo that is in them. If you are not careful, he cut his finger but good in the hard metal parts as they draw them. 2) Wipe that goo with alcohol. I denatured alcohol, but isopropyl common enough to work well. Quality of NJ Stickney I have this bit set as a Christmas present for them on my wish list. The reason I originally opted for multilateral controls on some of the other competitors was a review of several brands of cutters used for melamine using a CNC router machine cut. The purpose of the test was to find out how much stress they could take bits and see how well the pieces for a long time. The MLCs bits were excellent in the review and was the most modestly priced among the tested pieces. Scientists do not know how the review was in fact - but I can say that these fragments have exceeded my expectations and cuts very well I am pleased to use these bits in my step and fixed-based routers. You will your money's worth from this set. Worth every dollar I received a router Sean Dewalt combo kit as a gift in December, but the donor forgotten is that a router is useless without strawberries. MlCS I bought this set based in part on the opinions and much more in price. I had read a lot about how to get what you pay for when it comes to strawberries and how do I buy Freud or the like, but do not really have much money to spend and, like all "good wood" scene, it seemed a little pretentious to spend that money. So I bought it, and I could not be happier that the game in a case that was well built, very solid all the bits in place to avoid potential damage in shipping. The bits were coated in oil or fat to protect a kind of order they had to be cleaned from rust, but I'd rather have a little rust-free and spend some extra time to be cleaned. All the bits I used to date, 1 / 2 ", 1 / 4" flush trim, have worked hard. And for the three bits that I used, I could easily spent have as much as all three individual bits Freud. Because of the many small, I was looking for my first time driving needs additional router. I ordered a plate router table from there for about half of its demand for Rockler. The box was intact. Part of the structure of metal was removed from the bottom of the table with the screw holes removed. I knew anyway, and found that the metal fences that the wooden fence in front of Associate seriously out of parallel. Amazon Exchage procedure worked very well and had a substitution table in no time. However, he had the same problem with a damaged structure, and the fences were a little out of parallel. He suggested that customers must have a bad batch of them, and suggested I just get a refund, which I did. So I bought the same table at Lowes, which is home to find that missing piece that mounts on the router. I have a second Lowes. His parallel problems, and the table was not completely flat, so I could not level the router plate to the table of four had broken the shackles of cable in the box. Excellent router table by Y. Cho Forget all previous reviews of cheap plastic sheet sag. Freud replaced with aluminum plate and all the problems disappeared. It's easy to record level with eight screws. Mounting is very easy with good instructions. It took less than one hour. Freud uses the same black box that shows the plastic, but aluminum plates was again included Read the description on the box "New aluminum plate included $ 50." I like the fence system and the table is very sturdy and stable. It 'easy to get around in my samll study and had no problems in making cabinet doors. The bad thing is the new aluminum plate is not pre-mounting holes, even for Freud router. In addition to this, it is a really good router table with a portable fence system excellent. They come in a pretty rough place where the three additional guides you should buy a different size. The great thing about these adapters is that they snap into the router Bosch - quickly and easily, and they remain in force. However, the actual unique feature in this book everything that comes with the adapter, RA1100 threaded guide. This adapter allows you use guides to model in a Porter-Cable Bosch router. Reviewers complain when they buy a PC dovetail template or inlay kit that comes with a PC-style guide, it is not fit into their router ... Hawing, a guy he had to create a custom base for Bosch routers, so he could use his leadership model PC! It's an easier way! This is the RA1100. It also click on the router, and a driving model, but it's slot is just the right size to fit guides threaded PC and 'the ultimate versatility. You get what you pay for. No problem with the router, but the table is VERY sub-standard. The adjustment of the fence is very bad. A rooster takes every barrier and is almost impossible to push the site to work because of slop in the design. Too much time is spent is wasted by aligning the fence to the table and to each other. The lightweight (cheap) allows the table to move a little "while running the material through ... be sure to clamp / screw down before use. The slot machine is raw and the slide is sticky. The only positive is less dust chute work properly when connected to the store VAC. In retrospect, I bought the router alone and looked elsewhere for a quality built piece of equipment. Caution, do not take more bits with wwallach After setting one of these router tables, I discovered that it would take a little "larger than 1 5 / 8". Since I bought the table to make custom frames with male and female advice, the table was removed and returned. Unfortunately, Skil not list the maximum size of some 'on the box and you can only find this information in a note on the inserts that came good in the manual. I used the guide to cut six mortise solid maple 3x3 stock for a project I'm working on a bed. To be honest, I completely skipped the use of set-up pre-selection of marking all my mortise directly on the title, so just queue cut to the width of the boat, I was using. In use, the guide is stable, with a margin large and robust that it worked well with the soup I was routing. Smaller stock may have another complication. It fits the bill perfectly. I use this with a Porter Cable router is the foundation of my router pre-drilled and fit perfectly with my adjustment wrench. The router fence is portable and comes with a dust extraction port. The miter slots fits my leaders. I would recommend adding a second base connected to the router and fixed, so you can restore it in whenver you want without the hassle of reassembling the basis for the use of slide plate. Caution - high tolerance, is a challenge for this router with amazon purchase I bought 1617EVSPK 2-1/4HP bosch router combo about 9 months and has logged many hours on the machine. Overall, I echo the positive comments that other users have made available again: performance, versatility, ease of use, etc. There are two areas where the unit is dropped, however. First base plate, although it ostensibly centered on the unit when doing close tolerance work (for example with a dovetail jig Leigh), you will probably have to buy a basic center and placing the lower plate. This is a pain, but it is less noticeable. A far bigger problem is that developed the router side collision meter has when used in bounce mode, so just a fraction swings from side to side when falling, even despite my careful pressure is displayed on both handles. Not a problem for many applications, such oscillation is very small, but when the tolerances are a necessity (eg, routing mortis) is difficult to achieve than to cut dozens of pin floating shroud over the weekend with a small snail upcut again, and half shrouds was 1 / 32 "-1/16" of great size, which means that now I have much more value in my dustbin. Flat Top makes it easy bit changes and ensure that the router is not enabled for those of us who do not pull the plug (bad habit). Montgomery I bought this basis to use the Bosch RA1171 router table Bosch laminate router table. It works well, it is easily mounted on top of the table and the table above, that access is easy to use. I've run into a little gremlin. The threaded posts that drives ram has a small metal latch at the bottom of the post. This clip is what holds the position vertically in place. If it hangs down from the table, this clip is what holds the weight of the router if you have undone the most important castle and screw the router up or down. My clips kept slipping entry so that the elevator was virtually unusable. I could see where the clip itself was basically screwing up the shaft. My job was to buy a cheap set of drill stop collars. The 1 / 4 "collar, mounted on the pole with a set screw is much stronger and kept things in their place overall, apart from this one issue, I love the drive and it will be really good to have an extra base, you can leave all the time NOTE mounted -. One thing that was clear in my reading is that this base is basically the same that comes with the Bosch 2.25hp router as the fixed base (when it reaches the fixed / base combo release) Bosch 2.25 HP Plunge 1617EVSPK Combination Router Pack Base and fixed, the only difference that it has a plastic sheet on the bottom. Brown, I am very happy with the router base, which I connected to a router to insert large table took another cheaper place. It allows me the solid base that is connected to the router for the routing of jobs that use every day, without the router table (it gets boring) also came to the table above, the adjustment very easily. If you use a router or combo 1617-1618 Bosch router and you have a router table, my God, there is still a useful accessory! The screws on the base slightly lower table Bosch router table in my laptop (I do not know how it could work in other tables), and then the engine is running from 1617 to 1618 and locks easily into the socket. Then I have set free base and ready for use in other applications, all we have to do is to reverse the turning / locking process, and the engine is free, ready to be tucked into the base this is really fixed or precipitate easy to change. Setting the height above the table bit is wonderful: I used to make small adjustments to the height of my style and rail and cutters to make these adjustments very thin on the top of the table is much easier than it is to achieve under the table to do so.
