Time will tell, Rex At first glance, Bosch RA 1054 seem cumbersome, complicated and perhaps even fragile with multiple poles, thumbsrews, springs and a large slice on the back. But I must admit that after a thorough review of user manual, and just before marking my project the performace so far has been pretty good. I used the guide to cut six mortise solid maple 3x3 stock for a project I'm working on a bed. To be honest, I completely skipped the use of set-up pre-selection of marking all my mortise directly on the title, so just queue cut to the width of the boat, I was using. In use, the guide is stable, with a margin large and robust that it worked well with the soup I was routing. Smaller stock may have another complication. The guide was cake to set both the pace and solid foundations of 1617pk Bosch was involved (which, incidentally, works like a dream - if only he got variable speed model) is the worst so far ... If not take the guide, I predict that ultimately will affect (remember all the posts, wells, etc. .. brand that stands out) and despite plenty of room at 1617pk router, the wizard does not fit there. The guide also makes putting the router when using a real trick. Because of the size of the guide tends to pull the router if not under the desk, tip back and forth, but rather slightly lower side. My solution now is to rest the average non-complete configuration guide a piece of 1x material works quite well. Time will tell how well the ultimate guide, working with cattle, the exact configuration controls that require installation and durability thing. But for now, all he could find to work. People need to take to help Bosh a look at the new Porter Cable That things looks like a steel beam that seems simple to use, has a piece and seems to be very robust. Bosch when it arrives at the table with one, maybe a manufacturer of spare parts will be. Router Quality 1617pk deserves props of the same quality and build. Overall, a guide tip may be more acceptable robust, simple and come with a carrying case. Wood good job in the world! 49 of 53 people found this review helpful. precise and easy to use unit, James R. Smith is easily secured and micro-adjustment (the same that their router 1617EVS) allow to obtain very precise adjustments. He lives in the high quality of all other Bosch products I have owned. 18 of 18 people found this review helpful. Instrument specified by a customer comes into a large fluted column with the guide and it worked very well. The tool has a very large adjustable side guide for stable contact with the wood to the edge of the micro-adjustment worked very well. Rods are long, so that cuts can be made a long distance from the forest edge. With a router, it's very top heavy. I place a wooden spacer under the bars at rest, or else the router will tip over if placed upright. Save the carton and use for one thing, none were delivered. Material can be a bit more robust, given the fairly hefty price. See all 33 reviews ....
